Nutritional value calculation down to the last detail: Now also with amino acids, sugar types and fatty acids

For many nutritionists, individual nutrition coaching starts with a nutrient calculation based on a food diary that the client keeps. After all, as a nutrition coach you first need the "status quo" of your clients' diet before you can make qualified, goal-oriented changes to their eating behavior. Otherwise, as a coach, you are poking around in the fog and can only give very general advice.
Nutrient calculation in the coaching software through food tracking in the client app
Ideally, the client creates a food diary, also called a food log, over a period of 7 to 14 days by tracking their food in your client app. Based on the nutrition data collected from your client, our coaching software creates a nutrient calculation that you as a coach can use to run a nutrient analysis.
Your direct access to the nutrition software
Test phase ends automatically. No payment details required.
From now on, you can also run detailed nutrient analyses with our coaching software.
This lets you determine the current status quo of the client's eating behavior and nutrient supply. Statistics and charts show clients possible ways to optimize their eating behavior and support the nutritionist in their work. In addition, the nutritionist can create suitable meal plans directly based on these evaluations to fix the weak spots.
How high is the calorie intake? How are the macronutrients distributed? Is the client eating enough fiber? Is the client getting too few micronutrients? Is the distribution of fatty acids balanced?
Based on this, you can draw a wide range of insights and develop strategies for further nutrition coaching.

The problem: food diaries kept by hand by the client create double work and are not accurate
But for many nutritionists, this step often looks like this: clients write down on a piece of paper what they ate, how much and when. The nutritionist then receives the food diary from their clients and has to enter everything again digitally in a nutrient analysis program before they can evaluate it. In our view, that is double work and a hassle for both sides.
Studies have also shown that food diaries kept by hand from memory (e.g. in the evening) can deviate from actual intake by up to 1/3. People are simply forgetful and leave out entire in-between meals, snacks and foods without even noticing. This distorts every nutrient calculation and makes it useless for nutrition coaching.
That is why, with our coaching software, you can have your clients log their food directly and digitally in a client app, and then you only press a button to get a matching evaluation, incl. micronutrients.

Adding more nutritional components allows an even more detailed nutrient analysis based on the nutrient calculation in nutrition coaching
Until now, the nutrient analysis was limited to calories, the 3 macronutrients protein, carbohydrates and fat, fiber, and micronutrients such as macrominerals, trace elements and above all vitamins. We have now expanded the quality of our food database once again and added further components. As a nutritionist, this now lets you take a look at, for example, amino acid supply, analyze sugar consumption in detail or examine the ratio of fatty acids.
Based on the German Federal Food Code (BLS), the daily balance now also shows you as a nutritionist information on further components such as amino acids, carbohydrates and types of sugar, fiber and the various fatty acids.

Protein: amino acids
Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and are responsible for different functions and tasks in the body. The body can produce some amino acids itself (non-essential amino acids). Some amino acids, however, the body cannot produce itself (essential amino acids). This means the body depends on getting these essential amino acids from food. As a nutritionist, you should therefore keep an eye on how well these amino acids are supplied.
Nutrient calculation for muscle building
Especially in sports nutrition and with the goal of building and maintaining muscle, the branched-chain amino acids isoleucine, leucine and valine, better known as BCAAs (short for Branched-Chain Amino Acids), play a special role.
So if your coaching focuses on sports nutrition or competition coaching, our coaching software lets you keep an eye on amino acid supply at all times and develop coaching tips based on it to optimize your client's / athlete's performance.
Deficiencies and undersupply of amino acids can also quickly develop with nutrition-related diseases, a purely plant-based diet or one-sided diets. Here, too, you are needed as a nutritionist and, if this is diagnosed, should develop a strategy together with the client to optimize their nutrient intake.

Carbohydrates: types of sugar and fiber
A recurring topic in nutrition coaching: a client's sugar consumption. When is it too much sugar? Which foods contain sugar? How can sugar consumption be reduced?
The new, detailed overview of the different types of sugar is helpful for every nutrition coach, diabetes coach and health trainer to make their nutrition coaching more goal-oriented, raise awareness of the topic of sugar and make sugar consumption visible. Based on this, suitable measures can then be derived together with the client.
Nutrient calculation to regulate sugar consumption
Based on this nutrient calculation, "sugar-saving tips" and exercises for reducing sugar consumption are also easier to explain, and clients can get better advice on how to handle sugar.
Insufficient fiber intake can also be identified at a glance and discussed with the client in the next session.

Fats: fatty acids
Not all fats are the same. Put simply, there are good fats and bad fats. That is why, in any nutrition coaching, it is important to take a closer look at a client's fat intake and get answers to questions such as: Does my client mainly consume saturated fatty acids? What is the ratio of saturated fatty acids to monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids? How high in cholesterol is their current diet?
Nutrient calculation to regulate fat metabolism
The new, detailed nutrient analysis in our coaching software lets you answer these questions, so you can make your nutrition coaching even more efficient in the future.
Based on the graphical evaluation, you can show your client right in the next session what really matters when it comes to fats, what should be optimized and what practical recommendations for your client could look like.
